Last Saturday evening, we had to get ready for a 60th birthday party. Who was turning 60? Our friends Sandhya & Vijay — not them — but their mother. The surprise birthday party was being held at their relative’s house, so we had to get ready earlier than usual, take Josh to his swimming class, then drive over to my in-laws’ house so Josh could shower and get dressed. The party went well, the weather was nice, and the guest of honor was surprised. The good news is that we didn’t have to rush off after the party, so we had plenty of time to hang out with our friends!
