I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.  Nothing better than a 3-day weekend.

Friday night, we dropped the kids off to the in-laws, and headed off to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse for Valentine’s Day dinner, one day early.  Gooooood dinner. We got the rest of the night off from the kids, which was so nice.  No one asking for water, no waking us up to announce they “got poops”, or any crying at 7am to wake us up to change a diaper and eat breakfast. Oh, it was glorious.

We spent the rest of the weekend bumming around, doing some shopping, cleaning up, purchased two new fish for the aquarium, church, etc.

On Presidents’ Day itself, I dropped off the kids in the morning to school, then my wife and I took an awesome nap for a few hours.  We haven’t done that in years. In the afternoon, we had a tex-mex lunch at Chevy’s (we weren’t impressed), ran some errands, and bought some clothes for us (and the kids).

A pretty relaxing weekend. We still haven’t watched our latest movie from the Netflix queue — Be Kind Rewind starring Jack Black.  Maybe later this week.  Back to the grind on Tuesday.
