So our 1-year anniversary was coming up, and we had no idea what to do.

At work, I was checking out my Hyatt points status one day (I hope my boss isn't reading this), and I remembered staying at the Grand Hyatt in D.C. years ago. Then I thought, "Hmmm, Washington D.C." Bada-bing, we had an anniversary weekend road trip to Washington D.C. While there, we could go see Georgetown, Old Alexandria, some of her relatives in Virginia. A quick call to Julie to confirm she could cat-sit, and we had a road trip. Who da man?

After a planned sneaking out Friday afternoon that didn't happen (numerous imprompto meetings kept pushing my sneaking out), I ran out of the office by 4pm. Headed home, threw some clothes in a duffel bag, and we were out of there by 7:30. 4.5 hours later, we were in Arlington, checking into the hotel.

That weekend, we walked across the Key Bridge to Georgetown, walked, ate, and shopped. Visited Num's cousin Beeni, her husband Craig, ate in DC, sightseeing in DC, etc.
