Our March Trip to Philadelphia – Day 4

20160401-DSC_0584Last day in Philadelphia.  Sadsies. The kids seem to really have a good time this week. Maybe it was the food, or the fact that they didn’t have to go to school. Job done, mission accomplished. The family was happy, and that’s what vacations (big or small) are supposed to do.

In the morning, after breakfast, we packed up, and loaded up the car. We had considered taking the Big Bus tour again, or even trying to squeeze in a quick trip to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, but I didn’t think it made sense. Better to spend more quality time at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, our last and final stop. We drove out of the city and we were at the aquarium in about 20 minutes. It took us about 30 minutes to park and wait in line, in order to learn that we didn’t need to stand in line when you have the Pass. Argh.

Anyways, the aquarium was very nice. Not exactly sprawling, but it’s a good size for Camden. I’m pretty sure the one in Baltimore was larger. I think around 3 pm, we decided to skip the 3rd section targeted for little kids, and to also skip the $10 chicken tenders in the cafe. Instead, we went back to the car, drove halfway home, and grabbed lunch at the Ruby Tuesday in Mount Holly. Yes, so much better than aquarium cafeterias.

We were home around 5 pm, and the cats, as usual, couldn’t decide if they were happy to see us or not.
