Two months after New Delhi, I'm on the road again. I'm not complaining. This will undoubtedly be the last trip for a long time, once Junior arrives. I'll be in Hong Kong on assignment for two weeks. And seriously, how many chances do you get to visit China?

I'm looking forward to sight-seeing in Hong Kong, and also meeting up with good old Adrian, who transferred to the British Consulate offices in Hong Kong in September. I haven't seen him since his going-away party, so this will be nice. I'm staying at the Conrad Hilton, which is across the street from the British Consulate.

I've broken this album into two pages, as there way too many pictures for some people's computers. Hope this helps with the load times.

Week One: Saturday Jan 15th - Thursday Jan 20th

Saturday
After checking into the hotel, a few of us went to dinner in the mall below us. That's not the fun part. The fun part is that Adrian showed up at my hotel @ 11:40pm, and told me we were going out. 6:30am, I stumbled back to the hotel room. Wow.	It's Chinese! I'm in Hong Kong! 	Who's sleeping in my bed?	Double sinks, and my wife is back home in NJ. She would have loved this.	Nice shower & bathtub. I find the rubber duckie a nice touch.
Sunday
Jorge and I did a lot of walking around, sight-seeing.	In the mall below, there was this display for Swiss Chocolate Creations. Some sort of competition for chefs.	Check it out, one of the items to be judged. It's completely made of chocolate.	Never been in a mall with such large windows... spacious too	Some examples of the architecture in Hong Kong
	I'm definitely not in Kansas anymore (though I was in Kansas City last spring)	So far away, yet almost like home	Just the street	Just an example of the skyline	We went in, but weren't allowed to sit in the cars or take pictures. Still breathtaking.

Monday
After our first day at work (fairly painless), we went downstairs to the mall, and got some supplies from the supermarket. No, I didn't get anything. I shouldn't be snacking anyway	I love you, Mr. Juicy Juice!	The only item I recognize is....	Olivia says the Koala bear is me, and the little one is Junior	How one goes about promoting diet soda	Are they the ancient Chinese Power Rangers?
	Shrimp-flavored snacks.... what's wrong with these people?	What a great idea -- I wonder if they're available in America	If there's one thing I want for my birthday, it's the essence of chicken, captured in a tin	For someone living in a hotel, Jorge sure is buying a lot of groceries
Tuesday
Out for dinner/drinks in Lan Kwai Fong	Typical size of a Lan Kwai Fong bar	The streets are steep	What is it with neon signs that's so alluring?	According to Adrian, one guy owns the entire district. Bastard.

Wednesday
Nothing special	On the busy streets of Hong Kong	Two popular places here: Starbucks and McDonald's	Just a little tired from last night's activities. Just a little.	Uh, Jorge says hello to everyone back home	We had Japanese hibachi for lunch

Thursday
	Hmm, the menu is a little different here	And now with every KFC meal, you get a corn cob on a stick
