June 21st came along and the kids officially finished another school year. I can’t believe how fast this year went by. And now they’re heading off to middle school and high school in two months. It’s very easy to have your head down focused on the daily ins and outs (being in the weeds, so to speak), but all of a sudden here we are.We’re always pushing the kids to do more, think more, plan more. We want them to learn good lessons on managing their time, thinking critically, prioritizing tasks in a project. And writing neatly! I hope they don’t think we’re crazy, and appreciate that we’re trying to help them be their best.We may never know until the kids drag us onto Maury Povich to tell us how they really feel.
We wanted to celebrate it in some small way, so we all went out to dinner at Brick House Tavern & Tap. We ended ordering a bunch of appetizers and drinks for everyone, and the food was good. I’d certainly come back.
