I haven’t had any luck yet installing / replacing the gate handle. We had a storm with heavy winds coming through this evening, and I was worried our gate flapping in the breeze might do a number on hinges. But how to secure the gate.
I took a play out of the ‘MacGyver ‘ handbook and jury-rigged a solution to keep the gate closed using: a bungie cord, a trash can, and the old fence post. The flower pot was merely insurance.
I think Richard Dean Andersen would be proud.
