USB drives used to be a lot more useful. You could share files between home and work, or between coworkers. Nowadays, USB drives on your office laptops and desktops are all locked down. And how often do you need to transfer files via “sneakernet” at home? Not very often.
But you know, every so often, we need to put photos on a USB stick, and none are to be found. Amazon.com was running a short term deal, so we bought a 32 GB Kingston drive. I’m sure we won’t need to use it for 6 months, then we won’t be able to find the unopened package. It’s a given. 😉
