Soooooo, big surprise here — I’m picky about my stuff. Maybe a lot of people are, but that’s probably a sweeping statement. Still, my workspace, the gadgets I use, etc, it’s important me. It’s been a year now, and I’m getting a bit frustrated with the cheap keyboard and mouse that I was… provided at the office. It’s Logitech, but they’re terrible. I’ve been using the old corded Logitech MX500 mouse that I purchased for use at my last job back in July 2005. Wow, that was a long time ago. In any case, I want something better at work. You know, where I spend 8 hours a day.
I looked around online, and also checked out my local Staples store, but I can’t find anything I like better than my Logitech K800 keyboard or my Performance Mouse MX. The mouse is very functional, and the keyboard lights up and typing on it is…… well, I like to describe it “buttery smooth.” Every other keyboard feels cheap to me. The part that bugs me (apart that it’s $80) is that I have no need for the illuminated keys in an office setting with bountiful ambient and overhead lighting. Of course, I could get the wired version, but that’s only a few dollars cheaper, so why not get the wireless version.
I’m not sold on spending another $160, but I will have to make a decision soon.
