It’s time to make things happen. As I’ve mentioned before, I gained some 13 lbs since November 2011. All of last year, I went to the gym on a monthly basis, and slowly gained half of the excess weight I had lost in 2011. Talk about frustrating. I was often tired from my first year at the new job, so I was often dozing off when I’d normally be at the gym after dinner. On the weekends, I’d be so busy with taking the kids to their activities, or attending family and other events, I had no time for cycling or other fitness activities. The only reason I didn’t balloon up tremendously is that I tried often to eat reasonably. I snacked a little too much, and I didn’t maintain as well as I could have.
Well, it’s time to stop the madness. If I don’t change it, it’s just going to continue, and I’ll be back to fat pants soon enough. Hells no. No more fat pants. On Friday, I renewed my gym membership, worked out like I used to, and I’m going back to working out regularly (at least 3x a week), and watching my diet. I also resolve to ride my bike as soon as the weather warms up. I’m at 187.5 lbs, and my short term goal is to get back to 174 by my birthday in late April. That gives me 3 months to make a difference.
Let’s do it!
