Busy MLK weekend

A busy MLK weekend. A 3-day weekend turned into an impromptu 4-day weekend when I work up super groggy and exhausted Friday morning. I elected to take a day off, after experiencing the Fri morning after-effects of an especially busy week. I got the kids to school, came back to sleep. After I got up (again), I went about cleaning and running errands, including visiting the gym (first time in two months), as well as renewing my membership. Later that night, we watched The Karate Kid with the kiddies, then watched the Fringe series finale.

Saturday was doing lots of laundry, some minor grocery shopping, and helping Nums with anything she needed as she cooked up a 3-course Indian meal. Why? Later that night, we would all be having the aforementioned dinner with a family from church. Dinner came out amazing well, and I helped by frying up frozen potato cocktail samosas as an easy appetizer. She made a delicious chicken curry, lemon rice, and some sort of “milk” cake.

Sunday? Lots of more cleaning. Monday too, but my parents also came over to visit for a little while Monday afternoon.
